SANTA ROSA, CA — Our favorite time of the year is back. The NFL returns with its first match-up of the season on Thursday, September 5th, with the Baltimore Ravens facing off against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Victory House Sports Bar & Restaurant

Opened in 2017, Victory House has become the go to destination for ginormous screens, local brews, and chicken wings for all local sports fans. During big sporting events, the experience inside the restaurant is truly one of a kind. If you close your eyes, the roaring atmosphere paired with the camaraderie of the fans makes you feel like you’re actually inside the packed stadium.

Once upon a time, watching sports at a restaurant type establishment poses the risk, “Will I be able to see the game from where I’m sitting?” I know I’ve found myself sitting at a table attempting to stream the game on my phone with a group of friends because we could not see the TV from our assigned seats. Then I found Victory House, now my only problem is “which screen will I watch the game from?”

Every single one of the 200 available seats inside of the restaurant offers an amazing view of the game from multiple angles and TVs. First time guests often find themselves marveling at the massive size and number of screens, which have the capability to showcase many different games at once. Victory House is more than just a sports bar or restaurant; it’s a community hub where fans come together to share the highs and lows of the season while enjoying some of the best brews and wings that Sonoma County has to offer.

The San Francisco 49ers Seek Revenge

The San Francisco 49ers, after reaching the NFC Championship Game a total of four times in the past five seasons, are seeking to overcome any potential lingering effects from their Super Bowl LVIII loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Niners have their collective eyes set on one goal, capturing their sixth Lombardi Trophy. Historically, only three teams since 1977 have managed to win the Super Bowl after losing it the previous year. Will they be the fourth?

Even though the San Francisco 49ers lost in overtime at Super Bowl LVIII, their performance throughout the 2023 season was exceptional. With their postseason included, the 49ers boasted the highest offensive EPA (expected points added) per play at 0.15, surpassing the Buffalo Bills at 0.12 and the Dallas Cowboys at 0.11. Combined with a top-10 defensive rating, the 49ers were considered the best team by the Football Power Index (FPI), despite not clinching the championship.

Looking ahead to the 2024 season, there’s no reason to doubt the San Francisco 49ers continued dominance. With quarterback Brock Purdy, coach Kyle Shanahan, and the team’s skilled players, the 49ers remain strong contenders as long as running back Christian McCaffrey, wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel, and tight end George Kittle stay healthy and perform at an elite level. Key defensive players like Nick Bosa, Javon Hargrave, Fred Warner, and Charvarius Ward are also returning.

As the reigning NFC champions, the red and gold faithful will encounter familiar foes from last postseason. One game that fans eagerly await is the Week 7 clash against the Kansas City Chiefs, the team that has consistently thwarted the 49ers’ Super Bowl ambitions. Kansas City, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has defeated San Francisco in their last two Super Bowl encounters and holds a commanding 4-0 record against them.

While predicting the next Super Bowl matchup is incredibly difficult, the most likely scenario for this year is a rematch of last season’s Chiefs-49ers game. According to the FPI, there is a 6% chance we get to see quarterbacks Brock Purdy and Patrick Mahomes lead their teams against each other on the big stage.

The San Francisco 49ers’ upcoming season faces a challenging schedule and high expectations. Their ability to navigate key matchups while ensuring their star players stay healthy and productive will be crucial in their pursuit of the franchise’s sixth Lombardi Trophy.

This season Victory House is proud to introduce their new food menu. Victory House has long been known for having the best wings in town. This year Victory House is introducing multiple new flavors in an effort to make the best wings even better — by offering a variety of new house-made sauces curated by Head Chef Vanessa Zamora.

“I’m excited for people to try our new Diablo Sauce.” Vanessa expressed with a playful smirk during one of our food and beverage meetings.

The Diablo Sauce ranks at the top of heat scale. It’s appearance and smell alone was enough to strike fear in our Director of Operations, Andrew Kilsheimer, who respectfully passed on tasting it in an effort to “protect his taste buds”.

Our team members that fare well with spice levels praised Vanessa Zamora for her creation, noting that the heat was perfectly balanced with the flavorful profile of the sauce. Whether you prefer your wings spicy, tangy or sweet, there’s a sauce to suit every palate.

Another new addition that’s quickly becoming a fan favorite is the Garlic Buffalo Sauce. Front of House Manager Wes Skelton can be heard recommending it to the restaurant’s regulars and new customers alike, stating, “You have to try it if you haven’t already.”

The new menu continues to offer a range of comfort foods that have made Victory House a local favorite. Popular items include their hearty burgers and savory flatbreads, along with sandwiches, pasta, and an impressive list of shareable appetizers.

For those with a sweet tooth, Victory House has also included brand new dessert options on their new menu. I highly recommend their rich and decadent Chocolate Brownie Cheesecake. Other options include their Cream Filled Churro Bites, Funnel Cake Fries, and Vanilla Ice Cream.

Full Bar + 24 Taps

If you need another reason to make Victory House your go to game day destination, perhaps their bar selection will be the deciding factor. The restaurant features full bar service with 24 tap selections that feature local craft favorites along with everyone’s national favorites.

Victory House values their relationship with our local breweries. The restaurant is proud to be serving selections from HenHouse, Iron Ox, Old Possum, Seismic, Old Caz, Tremor, Moonlight, Barrel Brothers, Bear Republic, Ace Cider, Lagunitas, and more.

While it may be often overlooked, you can also order from a selection of the best local wines for a true taste of Sonoma County.

One reason many people flock to Victory House is the competitively priced drink options. From the bottom to top shelf, you’ll find some of the lowest prices in Sonoma County. Regulars love Victory House’s happy hour where they can get $2 off draft beers, $4 off specialty cocktails, $5 pours of house wine, and $4 pours of Pabst Blue Ribbon from the moment the doors open to 6pm every Monday to Friday.

As the NFL season kicks off, make Victory House your go-to spot for all the action. With its new menu, electric atmosphere, and commitment to quality, it’s the best place to enjoy every game. We’ll see you there!
